Benchmarks

Timings belong on the docs site of the commit that produced them. This repository does not vendor a number from a laptop.

The drivers that exist today:

tests/bench_cages	HC and DDC affiliation
tests/bench_cages_base	the findDDC baseline
tests/bench_churn_sweep	incremental affiliation against a full pass
tests/bench_trajectory_incremental	a trajectory update
tests/bench_gpu_batch	a device-resident batch, when the build has one

Build with tests and run the binary. Record the host, the compiler, the commit, and whether SEAMS_OFFLOAD was set. A host-only build takes the host branch of the device code. Say so.

pixi run -e repro is the Snakemake campaign (freud, pyscal3, the paper benches). That environment is Linux only. It is not part of pixi run test.
